I am hard-of-hearing with cochlear implants. I also have low vision. Hence I am not totally blind, nor totally deaf. I have a BS Computer Science from the University of Michigan (1989), a BA in Sign Language Studies from Madonna University (1993), a MSA in Software Engineering Administration from Central Michigan University (1998), and now am currently working toward my bachelor's in mathematics with a secondary level teaching certificate from Madonna University. I have had all the math classes that are required in both computer science and mathematics majors. I am currently taking Abstract Algebra this winter term and am two math courses shy of completing the math major requirements. I have always wanted to teach mathematics on the side from my day job, which is as an applications developer for the federal government, and I also have been interested in working at the university/college setting.
